"This is the cure for what ails the healthcare system!"
Howard Luks, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon, Westchester, NY
"I stumbled on FairCare while surfing the Net for alternatives to Major Medical Coverage. Between the cost of premiums, deductibles, and co-pays, Major Medical insurance seemed prohibited. This is a major pain, especially for someone like me, who has pre-existing conditions. When I found FairCare-I couldn’t have been happier. It’s an incredible business that’s helped give me peace-of-mind for my Physician needs.
The way it works is simple: doctors who pay to have their names listed and who compete for your business fund it. So, when I need a certain doctor, I’ll get in touch with FairCare and they will get to work matching those to my needs. Then, when I approve, the price and terms are agreed to in advance. No hidden surprises or cost to me! Plus, FairCare’s personal attention and professionalism has been outstanding!
I highly recommend FairCare to anyone looking for an alternative to the chaos of traditional insurance companies."

"I was told about your site through the plumber who did a repair at the home of my patient (I am a live-in caregiver). We were talking about the state of health care in the U.S, and he told me about his experience with your company. After being involved in in accident, he was in need of an MRI. He was extremely happy with the fee you were able to secure, and the facility found by your service. You can depend on me in continuing to inform others of your existence, and the invaluable work being done by your company.
Your service is the first truly meaningful and practical step towards aiding the non-insured and under-insured in this country. It’s a win/win situation. The person in need is getting care they would not have, otherwise, been able to secure for themselves, and the doctor/facility is gaining an additional patient."

"Congratulations of your site Alex. I think your service is a great help for those uninsured and under-insure. It goes a long way of improving communication between doctors and patients, so that the latter can better understand and evaluate the condition and physician before a consultation. "Through the efforts of FairCareMD I have gotten more referrals. Whenever anyone searches for MRI in New York, my site, Alpha 3TMRI and Diagnostic Imaging is in the top five. Web-based marketing is very important, so I am grateful for the fine services provided by FairCareMD."
Dr. Karl Hussman, MD, Radiology, New York NY
"FairCareMD puts the control back in the physician’s hands, it is the future of healthcare where all that matters is giving the best care for your patient and getting paid fairly for your skill and effort."
Dr. Lisa Eng, DO, Ob/Gyn, Brooklyn, NY
"I have worked with Alex Fair since the days when I asked him to do some research for a LOMN I needed. Instead he created an automated system that got us paid fairly by insurance companies. His latest creation automates contracting and is an end run around the payers, truly the best solution. It not only helps get us patients in the short term, but will help lead to a better future for Physicians everywhere."
Dr. Lawrence Shields, MD, Neurology, Long Beach, NY
"With FairCareMD I can be paid better and faster than if the patient used insurance. So many patients with high deductibles are coming to me this year saying that they want a reasonable price. FairCareMD allows me to automate that conversation as much as possible and is making a real difference in my practice."

"Last year I paid $8,500 for my health plan. I went for my annual checkup to my doctor and still paid $150 deductible for the visit and $100 copay for lab work. I always felt that I should purchase a basic catastrophic coverage plan and pay at most $1,800 for the whole year. I always knew I could go to the doctor and pay cash. I just always had trouble asking for a price that makes sense to me at fear that the doctor might not give me the best care possible.
In August of 2010 I officially switched to a basic health insurance plan. During the 90 day waiting period I went on a trip with my friends to do some hiking and motor sports. In the process I hurt my shoulder. I came back home and went to my doctor I’ve been seeing for more than 2 years to check it out. Instead of the ticket price of $300 as I always paid, he saw me for $150 because I was uninsured. Very concerned, he told me I need an MRI. I went to a local diagnostic imaging center and was told the price is $1,800 with contrast.
After some rather unpleasant debate with the front staff the manager came out to talk to me. I received the same MRI for $400. Then I went to see an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulders. A $120 dollar visit and $75 for injection later I realized I paid almost $700 less than I would have if I told the doctor that I had insurance. From two days of doctor visits and MRI … I saved over $2000 by just asking the doctor if they’d see me for cash.
But that was me, and I admit that the hardest part of those two days was asking the doctors for a cash price and a fear that the service would be inferior … However, from those two days I learned that health care providers are more than happy to get paid at the time of service and are more than happy to accept prices that their patients can afford to pay.
Two weeks later, Alex Fair, the social entrepreneur behind FairCareMD replied to one of my posts on LinkedIn about promoting doctor’s offices to the public through the internet. With the ability for patients to find the best price for health care services, negotiate better prices because health care providers actually WANT to offer such deals to patients who want to pay in full, with social media integration to Twitter and Facebook, with ability to see the doctors’ websites and a wealth of information about the conditions they treat and their level of expertise, I asked Alex for a face to face meeting and to join FairCareMD the same week."
